Since the early 1980s, Allianz has made several strategic acquisitions worldwide of well-known companies such as RAS of Italy, Cornhill of Great Britain, AGF of France, Fireman's Fund in USA, Ayudhya CMG of Thailand and MBA of Malaysia. Through its purchase of Dresdner Bank , Allianz has acquired a strong distribution channel in Germany and banking expertise throughout Europe. |

In 2004, Allianz’s total revenues amounted to 96.9 billion euros. At the end of 2004, Allianz Group had more than one trillion euros in asset under management, of this 585 billion euros were assets managed for third parties. Today, the majority of the Group’s premium income is earned outside Germany. |
